1. Neurasthenia

Neurasthenia occurs due to exhaustion of the nervous system in the case of long-term mental overloading. Citizens of metropolis usually work hard, don’t get enough sleep and rest, and regularly experience stresses.


2. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

People living in large cities are at a high risk of chronic fatigue syndrome. It’s not difficult to get this syndrome: excessive emotional and intellectual workload, stresses, irregular working hours, sleep disorders, and imbalanced diet.

3. Anxiety

Anxiety is caused by a huge number of irritants of the nervous system. That is constant noises, smells, light, crowds of people that negatively affect our body. Stress leads to sleep disorders, impaired appetite, sudden bursts of anger, gloomy thoughts, and headaches.

This disease is similar to anxiety disorders. Panic attacks are characterized by shortness of breath, shaking, sweating, numbness or feeling that something terrible is going to happen. Panic disorder can be provoked by lack of sleep, constant stresses, exhaustion, and consumption of a big number of drinks containing caffeine.


7. Acute psychosis

Psychosis is a severe disorder caused by a seriously damaged mental state. There are a lot of reasons for the occurrence of this disease. But constant stresses provoke earlier development of psychosis and exacerbate it.

How to Prevent Mental Disorders

1. Improve your sleep. Healthy sleep helps our body recover. You need to sleep at least 7-8 hours. Try to go to bed half an hour earlier.


2. Do sports. You can run or walk in the mornings or evenings before going to bed. Also, you can try yoga. But if you don’t have time and strength, just spend more time in the open air.

3. Change your lifestyle. Take an unplanned vacation and just let your body and mind relax. Travel, explore new countries, new cultures, meet new people, taste new cuisines, make awesome shots, jump with a parachute, go camping, and just enjoy your life. Don’t put it off till the next vacation.


4. Try meditation. Meditation, relaxing techniques, and aromatherapy are a good way to relieve stress, tension, and anxiety.

5. Communicate with your close and loved people more. Don’t hide your feelings, talk with them about your mood. Don’t keep negative emotions to yourself.


6. Don’t go on a diet, even if you think you need to lose weight. Take care about your nutrition, make it full, and qualitative. Eat more fruit and vegetables, forget about fast food and unnecessary snacks. Give your body what it needs.

7. Learn to cope with stress. Analyze the situation, change your position on it, get rid of negative emotions, don’t keep them to yourself.


8. Get more emotions. Find a new hobby, taste new dishes, and products, meet new people, read books, spend a lot of time with your friends in the open air.
